Memorial Socialists Chemnitz

This memorial at the municipal cemetery in Chemnitz on Wartburgstraße commemorates all anti-fascist resistance fighters and workers from Chemnitz and the surrounding districts who contributed to the reconstruction efforts in 1945. The memorial is marked by the words of Karl Marx:

"Denn das Sehnen und Verlangen und DIE TAT - sie blieb uns doch!"

“For the longing and desire and THE ACT—they remained with us after all!”
