Aid Station Farm "Dadelaar"

This farm was built in 1913 and, in May 1940, was established as a so-called "aid post," or a wounded shelter.

Wounded soldiers could be transported from this aid post to a dressing station by stretcher or wounded vehicle. A dressing station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.

At that time, the farm was called "Dadelaar".
