Aid Post 1-III-15 R.I.

The farmhouse was built in 1900 and, in May 1940, was set up as a so-called "aid post," or a wounded shelter, for the defense line of the 1st Company, 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment.

Wounded soldiers could be transported from this aid post by stretcher or vehicle to a dressing station. Each dressing station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.
