Resistance Memorial Le Bousquet d'Orb

This memorial commemorates nine killed resistance fighters. On August 17th 1944, 20 resistance fighters with the help of local people attacked a bridge near the coal mine near Le Bousquet d'Orb. In this attack they drove back a German company which fled away. During the fightings and the preceding clashes nine resistance fighters were killed. Their names are listed on the monument.
