In the Nadrin cemetery lies the war grave of Emile Rémy, who was cowardly executed by the Nazi police on December 23, 1944.
The Gestapo had obtained a list of resistance fighters in Houffalize.
On December 22, Emile Rémy was arrested, along with five other villagers. They were first taken to the Vieille Auberge in Houffalize, and the next day to the Nadrin town hall for questioning. Back in Houffalize, all their possessions were confiscated. They were taken by truck to a forest where they were killed by a shot in the neck.
