Inscription on the gravestone: "In memory of the officers of the 2nd Regiment of Algerian Riflemen who died on August 6, 1870."
The monument, created by Brunner Frère of Reichshoffen, is located in a fenced area with a white-painted iron gate. The original black marble plaque, which was destroyed, has been replaced by a cast-iron plaque painted white. It is believed to be the collective grave of five Turco officers.
