War Memorial St George Church

These plaques, inside the St George Church, commemorate the people of the parish who were killed or missing in World War I (16 names) and World War II (7 names).

Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.

The remembrance window commemorates William Bartle Marsh Edwards of the Rifle Brigade, killed in action in Tunisia in 1943.
