Commonwealth War Graves General Cemetery Gramsbergen

Gramsbergen General Cemetery contains the graves of ten Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War.

Shot down by night fighter pilot Major Werner Streib of the Stab/NJG 1, flying a Bf 110 G-4 from Deelen airfield on 4 December 1943

The aircraft was critically damaged on 14 September 1942 by the night fighter crew of Unteroffizier Rudolf Frank & Unteroffizier Hans-Georg Schierholz of the 1./NJG 3, who were flying Dornier Do 217J D5+GH from Rheine airfield in Germany.
Note: also claimed by Major Hülshoff of Stab/NJG 2 and by heavy (schwere) Flak.
