Dutch War Graves General Cemetery Putten

Putten Old General Cemetery contains four Dutch War Graves lying next to each other. There are also other Dutch war graves, scattered throughout the cemetery.
These are the graves of:

A. van Beek, 07-10-1944
H. Bosch, 13-12-1944
J. v.d. Brink, 30-11-1944
H.G. van Geen, 02-03-1945
E. van Grevengoed, 02-03-1945
J. Janssen, 29-06-1945
S. Kraaij, 23-04-1945
C. Simon, 14-04-1945
F.W. Slotboom, 01-10-1944.

On 30-09-1944 eight resistance men attack a German car near the Oldenaller bridge.
Two officers are injured and one of them dies.
On 01-10-1944 people of Putten and Nijkerk are imprisoned in the Old church.
The next day, the women and the children go home and 661 men will be deported to Neuengamme.
After liberation are only 49 men returned.

During the raid, seven people are shot dead on their flight by the Germans. Three of them are buried in the General cemetery in Putten.
