War Memorial Petten

During the existence of the northern Dutch town of Petten, the village was four times demolished and rebuilt. The last time this happened was in 1943. for the construction of the German Atlantic-Wall, which was to protect the coast against an invasion by the Allies.

In 1947, work began again with the construction of Petten. The village was rebuilt a bit north of the old Petten.
