Aircrew Memorial Seat Polar Wood
This seat in Polar Wood commemorates the crewmembers of who aircraft which crashed nearby.
In 1939, a Mk 1 Swordfish with three crewmembers crashed during a training flight. In June 1945, a RAF Liberator transport plane crashed killing all 27 on board.
