Memorial Killed American Pilot
This remembrance stone and flagpole commemorate an American pilot named Johnson who crashed on this location in World War II. When his aircraft, a bomber, got in trouble, he let his crew leave the plane by parachute. He decided to stay, so that the bomber would nog crash into houses. He was killed in the crash landing.
