Memorial Crash Lancaster

In 1945, a Lancaster bomber crashed on this location, shortly after take-off from RAF-base Mildenhall. All crewmembers were killed in the crash.

The crater is also still present and sometime parts of the aircraft are found here and left at the memorial.
