War Monument Imbros

This monument has been erected in memory of the 10 fallen from Imbros from the Second World War. There are also 2 names of fallen from the Greek Civilian War.

This monument has been erected in memory of Anastasios Chobitis. He fought in the Balkan War (1912-1913) and was responsibility for the personal safety of the Prime Minister of Greece. During the German occupation of Crete, he served in the resistance. After 1945, he was head of the gendarmerie of Crete.

This monument has been erected in memory of Nikolaos Psarros (1884-1952). He fought during the Balkan War (1912-1913), in Albania in 1914 and against the Turks in 1919. During the Second World War he fought against the Germans during the Battle of Crete and later he served in the Cretan resistance.
