Maginot Line - Casemate Francaltroff

This casemate at Francaltroff (Blockhaus C13) was part of the Secteur Fortifié de la Sarre (Maginot Line) and was attacked on 15 May 1940 by the Germans, who lost three combat engineers in the fighting. On 20 November 1944, Combat Command A of the 4th Armored Division attacked Francaltroff and the surrounding casemates. Near casemate C13 is an American M16 Halftrack.
