Commonwealth War Graves Donchery

The cemetery of Donchery contains 6 Commonwealth war graves from the Second World War. These are the graves of British air men who fell in May 1940, after their Fairey Battle dive bombers were shot down during the battle of Sedan. Their names are:

Aircraftman 1st Class Wiliam Joseph W. J. Nolan. KIA on 14 May 1940. 20 years.

Pilot Officer (Pilot) Frederick Heward F. H. Ridley. KIA on 14 May 1940.

Aircraftman 1st Class (W. Op.) James Samuel J. S. Thomson. KIA on 14 May 1940.

Sergeant (Obs.) John Daniel J. D. Turner. KIA on 14 May 1940.
