Pillbox Stanbridge

During World War II, these bunkers were used for the defense of the United Kingdom against a possible enemy invasion. They were built in 1940 and into 1941.

There are bullet impacts in the concrete of the bunker. It may have been a type 24 with bricks surrounding it and bearing a Bofors anti-aircraft gun.
