Gerk Numanbridge Gorredijk

Gerk Numan was born in Langezwaag on July 10, 1917.
He was a member of N.B.S. (Dutch Domestic Forces), usually it was kept at B.S. The annoying thing was that the abbreviation N.B.S. looked too much like the abbreviation N.S.B. (National Socialist Movement).
Gerk Numan was killed in a shootout with German troops at the main bridge in Gorredijk on April 14, 1945.
