At the Municipal Cemetery in Stadskanaal are two Commonwealth War Graves from World War II.
These are the graves of:

Sergeant (Obs.) George Edward Cragg Coldron, R/106892, RCAF, died 14-09-1942, age 22
Flight Sergeant, Roman Grabek, R/105796, RCAF, died 14-09-1942, age 21.
