Memorial Eighth USAAF

This memorial commemorates the Eighth USAAF, which operated from Polebrook airfield. In World War II, 311 bombers which flew from here did not return.

WHO FLEW 60 COMBAT MISSIONS AGAINST THE ENEMY FROM THIS AIRFIELD 1943-1945


RAF Polebrook was also known as USAAF Station 110.
