Commonwealth War Graves Brazey-en-Plaine

Brazey-en-Plaine Communal Cemetery contains six Commonwealth burials of the Second World War.
These are the graves of:

Pilot Officer (Air Gnr.) Joseph Armstrong, 54454, age 28
Flight Sergeant (Air Gnr.) Leslie Arthur Bolt, 1318081, age 20
Sergeant (W.Op/Air Gnr.) Frederick Joseph Huxen, 1337245, age unknown
Sergeant (Flt. Engr.) Desmond Norman Murphy, 1622959, age 19
Flight Sergeant (Air Bomber) William Frederick Williams, 1320281, age unknown
Squadron Leader (Pilot) Terence Sydney Raymond King, 37857, age 33

On 10 March 1944 at 20:12 departed from RAF Tuddenham, the Stirling LJ509 of the No. 90 Squadron RAF for an SOE (Special Operations Executive) mission. For unknown reasons, the aircraft crashed down in Brazey-en-Plaine. Of the seven crew members, six were killed, they are buried in this cemetery. One crew member managed to escape.
