Commonwealth War Graves Prefailles

There are over 70 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war commemorated on Prefailles Communal Cemetery, nearly 20 of which are unidentified. one of the burials could not be precisely located and is commemorated by a Special Memorial marked "Known to be buried in this cemetery".

The majority of the graves here are those of victims of the "Lancastria," sunk by enemy action on 17th June 1940 off St. Nazaire.
