Artillery Fort 'Sasso da Pigna'

The construction of this fort began on 28 August 1941. In November 1941, it was decided that "Sasso da Pigan" would be armed with four 15 cm guns. Due to logistical problems with the 15 cm guns, the fort was temporary armed with four 10,5 cm guns. In July 1943, the first two 10,5 cm guns were ready for use and the other two in October. In 1944 the 10,5 cm guns were replaced by the previously planned 15 cm guns. The construction of the fort was completed in 1945.

The fort can be visited from 1998.
