The field of honour, which is not in a cemetery but is a separate war cemetery, has 114 graves of Dutchmen who died in France. The dedication took place on 3 May 1958. Also located in the portal of honour are another number of plaques with the names of 108 Dutch victims buried elsewhere or missing. Three of these plaques give the names of soldiers who died in the torpedoing of the S.S. Pavon near Dunkirk (1940). One memorial plaque was donated by the former resistance movement “Union Patriotique Néerlandaise” and contains the names of Dutch resistance fighters in France and of Dutch resistance fighters who died while passing through France.
A bilingual (Dutch/French) board with background information on the field of honour and the war victims buried there has been placed near this field of honour.
