Atlantikwall - Unfinished Heavy German Coastal Battery Dueodde

The construction of this heavy German coastal battery began in November 1940. The battery was supposed to be armed with four 380mm guns. The German High Command gave orders to halt construction because the 380mm guns were more suited for the German coastal battery "Schleswig Holstein, near Danzig. The site was completely abandoned by the German Army and the battery was stripped down.

There are two concrete gun emplacements 500 meters seperated from each other in the town of Dueodde.
