Belgian War Graves Marloie

The cemetery of Marloie contains numerous graves of civilians who died in the Marloie disaster on 21 May 1944.
On May 21, 1944, a German ammunition train was attacked by Allied aircraft at Marloie station. The train with its cargo of explosives was detonated. The consequences were dire: 41 killed, more than 500 injured, including tens of severely mutilated, 75 buildings destroyed and 190 homes damaged.

The cemetery also contains a Belgian burial of the First World War.
It’s the grave of BREUSKIN Lucien, Calais (F) 14 March 1916.
