Russian-Polish War Cemetery Baligród

This war cemetery was established by Polish soldiers of the 34th Infantry Regiment "Budziszyn" to bury Polish soldiers who fell in the fighing with the UPA ("Ukranian Insurgant Army") from 1945 to 1947. It was expanded after the discovery of many fallen Red Army soldiers in the region.

There are currently 5.127 Soviet and Polish soldiers who fell in the Second World War and the fighting against the UPA, buried here.
