Fort Honswijk

This fort was built between 1841 and 1848 as part of the New Dutch Water Line. In 1914-1918, the fort was mobilized. In the period before the Second World War, it was used as an internment camp for displaced communists from Germany. The fort was not mobilized in 1939-1940. From 1946 to 1948 the fort was an internment camp for NSB-people and collaborators.
