Commonwealth War Cemetery Grand-Seraucourt

The cemetery was constructed between 1920 and 1926 by merging 26 small temporary cemeteries, German cemeteries, local churchyards and field graves.
1,377 Commonwealth war dead are commemorated. Of these, 479 are identified from the First World War and only 17 from the Second World War, leaving 863 unidentified.

There are two "Special Memorials – Believed to be buried in this Cemetery" for British soldiers believed to be buried here under an "Unknown" headstone.
There are also two "Duhallow Blocks" for soldiers whose graves were never found: one for 20 Commonwealth war dead buried in the German cemeteries of Essigny-le-Grand, Marle, and Nouvion-et-Catillon.
The second for 12 Commonwealth war dead buried in the Essigny-le-Grand communal cemetery and in the German cemeteries of Fontaine-Uterte and Cilly.
