Memorial Manfred von Richthofen (Red Barron)

This memorial is standing in the yard of the house where Manfred von Richthofen lived untill the start of the First World War. Manfred von Richthofen (widely known as the 'Red Barron') was a German fighter pilot during the First World War. He fell on 21 April 1918 at the French village of Cappy. He's being officially credited for 80 air combat victories, making him the top ace of the war.
