Mikveh Museum

During renovation work in 1992, the Mikveh, the ritual Jewish bath which belonged by the Synagogue in Zaltbommel, was recovered. As a memorial to the vanished Jewish community of the Bommelerwaard it is preserved and there is a small museum on the history of Jews in Zaltbommel.

The museum is a plaque with the names of the Jews from the Bommelerwaard who were murdered in the Holocaust.

The synagogue was demolished after World War II. Today, there is an apartment building which is largely based on the design of the synagogue.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
