Memorials Hammelev

Erik Eriksen was a stationmaster in Hammelev and during the Second World War he was member of a communist resisistance movement. He sabotated the raillines. On 12 October 1944 he was arrested by the Germans. He died in the concentration camp of Nuengamme on 28 February 1945.

After the war a memorial has been placed in his birthplace, Hammelev:
