Memorial Sepp Innerkofler

Sepp Innerkofler was mountain guide and a well known person in the Dreizinnen area and possessed the Drei Zinne hut where many famous persons of the time.
At the outbreak of the war, along with his son, he took service with the Standschützen. The Standschützen were the first in the defense against the attacks by the Italians in May 1915.
Sepp died during a combat patrol at the Paternkofels on 4 July 1915 by a bullet that came from an Austrian machine gun.
Sepp is buried in the churchyard of Sexten
