Former Krakow-Rakowice-Czyzyny Airfield

This Austro-Hungarian military airfield was built in 1912 and used during the First World War. During the Interbellum and in September 1939, the airfield was used by the 2nd Polish Air Regiment (2 Pułk Lotniczy). It was also used by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War.

The airfield is out of commission. The remains of a hangar can be found to the north-west of the air force museum.
