Fortress 41a Mydlniki

The fortress 41a Mydlinki was built in de period of 1895-1896 as part of the Austro-Hungarian Festung Krakau and is located on top of a hill west of Krakow.

The brick-built Fortress is provided with a concrete roof. After the World War I, Mydlinki became Polish state property. In September 1939, a short skirmish took place around fortress 41a between German and Polish troops. Today 41a Mydlinki is abandoned and can be visited. The location is easily accessible by public transport.
