Memorial Victims National-Socialism Aplerbeck

The memorial is located in the park of the „Westfälischen Klinik für Psychiatrie". This psychiatric institute existed already during National Socialism. The memorial commemorates the victims of National-Socialism.

Many patients were transported to euthanais-institutions on behalf of „Aktion T4". In the children’s department of the clinic, at least 229 children were killed. About 340 women had a sterilization under force in the clinic.
