Soviet War Cemetery Gänsewag

The former army-practice-ground Münsingen contains a cemetery (Kriegsgräberstätte Gänsewag) of Soviet POW’s, from the Second as well as the First World war. The graves from the Second World War date from 1941 and 1942, when Russion POW’s were kept in a camp under extreme heavy conditions.

In total, 542 unknown Soviet soldiers are buried here.
