German War Cemetery Bousson

The cemetery opened in 1917 and was intended to bury those who fell during the fighting on Chemin-des-Dames in April and October 1917. After the war, further burials were carried out by the French administration from municipalities in the Laon area.

According to the register, 2,666 German soldiers who died in World War I are commemorated there. The stone at the entrance, which, like the heavy metal crosses, dates from 1973, lists 2,653 of them; the 16 later burials were decorated with stone plaques.

Nine of the fallen soldiers belonged to the Jewish community and are commemorated with a stele.
A high cross adorns the cemetery.
