Memorial Victims Bombardments Paderborn

This memorial commemorates the victims of the bombardments at Paderborn. The destruction was enormous especially on 17 January and 27 March 1945. About 85% of the centre was destroyed.

At the start of the Second World War, 42,490 people lived in Paderborn. At the end of the war only 29,033.
