Memorial Victims Forced Labour Gelbensande

In 1944 and 1945, there was a forced labour camp in Schwarzenpost, some kilometres from Gelbensande.

Four Polish inmates of this camp died and were buried at Gelbensande Cemetery. Their graves were lost but after a long search they were found again in 2004. At the gravesites a memorial commemorating them was erected.
