Remembrance Memorial 'Le Perdreau - De Patrijs' Kerksken

Remembrance momument to the resistance movement 'De Patrijs' , founded in 2004 .
There are four plaques on display as well as a 4.2 inch mortar launcher ( post-war type, model 1952) .

from 8th U.S. Airforce
Royal Air Force and Australian Air Force

For the liberation of Europe

3 september 1944 - 2004

This memorial is dedicated
to commemorate the 60th anniversary
of liberation of Groot-Haaltert

On September 3, 1944 in the early evening was
Groot-Haaltert liberated by the British
11th. Armoured Division (Taurus Pursuant)
During their march to Antwerp

Great Patriotic Circle Haaltert
September 3, 2004


Plaque 4:
In memory of
the Dutch refugees
after Market Garden
and the Meuse Battles
who found in the spring of 1945 in Groot-Haaltert
a safe haven
