Memorial French 11th Division

This memorial (Le Soldat du Léomont) on Cote 334 is dedicated to the French 11th Division that fought here against German-Bavarian units in the period of 25-26 August 1914. About 4000 French soldiers of the 11th Division were killed here in the battle which took place from 24 August to 12 September 1914.

The memorial was blown up by German soldiers in June 1940, but rebuilt in 1950.
