Memorial 62nd West Riding Division

This memorial commemorates the British 62nd West Riding Division, which was involved in the battle from 1916 to 1918.

The memorial was erected on the S.E part of the village of Havrincourt along the track leading to the neighbouring village of Ribécourt-la-Tour.

The place is of importance:
- On the 20th of November 1917 (first day of the battle of Cambrai ) the 62nd division captured the village with the help of 60 tanks (the whole "G''''battalion plus 16 tanks of "''E'''' and ''''D''''Bns.);
- on 12th September 1918 once more the 62nd recaptured the village of Havrincourt.
