At the municipal cemetery (Cimetière de Rocabey) in Saint-Malo, there is one unidentified Commonwealth war grave from the Second World War among a row of French war graves. According to the inscription on the stone, it is a member of the Royal Navy who died on 1 June 1940. The port of Saint-Malo was used in 1940 during the evacuation of the British expeditionary force, and it is possible that the sailor drowned at that time.
