Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial Museum

This former prison was established in 1939, when the first building was erected by the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt. An POW camp was added during the Second World War and renamed to 'Special Camp No. 3' by the Soviets in June 1945. This camp later became the notorious Stasi Berlin-Hohenschönhausen prison.
