War Memorial Charleville

This memorial commemorates the residents of Charleville who were killed or missing in the Great War (World War I) and World War II and the wars in Indochina (1946-1954) and Algeria (1954-1962).

On top of the monument's column is a bronze figure, a victorious angel holding the flag and holding a laurel wreath in the air in the other hand.
Below that on the high column the coat of arms of the city and the text:
"The City of Charleville
To his children
dead for France "

The column ends in a sculpture group of seven warring soldiers, looking up towards victory. One on his knees encourages the others to move on.
The circular base is engraved with the names of the 551 soldiers who died for France.
