Fort Bangsbo

Fort Bangsbo (Stützpunktgruppe Frederikshavn Süd) was a combination of 34 heavy and 17 light bunkers surrounded with a triple barbed wire fence.

The main armanant composed of the 15cm guns of the coastal battery and the 10,5cm guns of the anti aircraft battery. The fort capitulated on 1st May 1945.

The fort today:
The Bangsbo Museum & Archive is currently using a part of the fort. The other fortifications are still in use by the Danish navy.
