Fort Miles

Fort "Miles" was built between 1941 and 1944 to protect Delaware Bay and river against enemy attacks. "Miles" composed for the most part of four heavy coastal batteries and a dozen of fire control towers.

The fort today:
It is currently being renovated for use as a museum. Walking tours are available during summer weekends.
