German Trenches Udria

These trenches were presumably constructed by concentration camp prisoners in 1943 as part of the Tannenberg line. During the battle at this line (25 July 1944 - 10 August 1944) the SS Panzergenadier Regiment 23 "Norge", the SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 24 "Danmark"and elements of the Dutch 4th Volunteer Waffen-SS Panzerbrigade were stationed here.

The defence line today:
The German trenches around the village of Udria near Narva are renovated for the most part and are accesible to the public.
