Cathedral of Aghdamar

The Armenian Apostolic Cathedral of Aghdamar was founded in the 10th century. It was attacked, partly destroyed and its monks massacred by the Ottoman Army in 1915, during the Armenian Genocide.

The cathedral was restored by the Turkish government in the period 2005-2006.
